Raul Cardenas

Coach Raul has been coaching since 2013 and 1996-1999. His coaching philosophy is centered on player development with an emphasis in strong technical skills.  He is an enthusiastic believer in Futsal. His teams have competed in top flights of premier-level tournaments. Of note: his teams were ranked 2nd in the State of Maryland (Gotsoccer ranking), Maryland State Cup semi-finalists,  5v5 National Qualifiers, Disney Showcase Finalists and  Bethesda Premier Cup Champions. He currently coaches 2007 Girls Premier I Academy Team, 2007 Girls Premier II Academy Team, 2010 Girls Premier I Academy Team and 2013 Girls Premier I Academy Team.  Raul previously coached at Maryland Rush Montgomery from 2015 to 2022. Raul has a USSF D License. Coach Raul graduated from University of Maryland, played at Montgomery College (MDJUCO Conference) 1991-1993 and played semi-professional with the Washington Mustangs 1995-1996.

Megan Cardenas

Coach Megan has been coaching for 20+ years.  She currently coaches 2007 Girls Premier I Academy Team, 2007 Girls Premier II Academy Team, 2010 Girls Premier I Academy Team and 2013 Girls Premier I Academy Team. Her teams compete in top league flights and top flights of premier-level tournaments.  Her coaching philosophy is centered on individual player development with the intent of building a technical and tactical skillset that parlays into dynamic team play. She is an avid proponent of futsal to further strengthen players’ abilities on and off the ball.  She is committed to cultivating a positive soccer learning environment for players. Coach Megan is a native of the metro area. She played and captained at D1 level and in international tournaments.  She played ODP/State Team and was an All-County and All-Met player.  She graduated from Bucknell University where she played NCAA Division 1 Soccer.
